LevantaPark wins contract to design car lift systems for Mercedes-Benz

New ‘Autohaus’ facility to feature cutting-edge vehicle lift technology

LevantaPark has been announced as the successful provider of car lifts and parking systems for the new Mercedes-Benz ‘Autohaus’ project in Brisbane.

The $100 million world-class project will be the ideal showcase for LevantaPark’s advanced vehicle lifts.

LevantaPark Technical Consultant Daniel Parker said, “The Mercedes-Benz Autohaus project will be the first of its kind in Australia. LevantaPark is thrilled to be playing a part in such a significant new investment project for Brisbane.”

An impressive new international-standard facility

To be built on the former Breakfast Creek Wharf site, the Autohaus would feature a full service Mercedes dealership, service centre, and museum, along with shops, restaurants and a riverside rooftop function centre.

The architecturally impressive design showcases five storeys of Mercedes-Benz vehicles on display in the glass fronted façade.

Demolition of the existing buildings is already underway. Construction of the new complex is scheduled to commence in mid-January 2017, with completion anticipated in July 2018.

This world-class new facility calls for world-class solutions for storing and accessing vehicles.

LevantaPark will install two advanced vehicle lifts in the Autohaus. The first, a custom-designed hydraulically driven car elevator, will transport cars, staff, and members of the public with speed and in absolute safely.

The car elevator will allow Mercedes-Benz's clients to easily access any of the available vehicle range, from whichever floor of the building, and take the car for a test drive.

It has been specifically designed to be capable of taking even the largest, heaviest vehicles in the Mercedes-Benz range. With a remarkable travel distance of 23 metres and incorporating fire-rated entry and exit doors, it’s one of the first vehicle elevators of its kind in Australia.

The second car lift, a Rex Gold scissor lift system from the LevantaPark range, will transport vehicles between the ground floor and the museum in the building’s basement. Durability, reliability, and ease-of-use were all central to Mercedes-Benz’s choice of the Rex Gold.

Daniel Parker said, “This facility will set a new benchmark for automotive dealerships in Australia. LevantaPark is proud to have been selected by such prestige, quality brand such as Mercedes-Benz, and we’re looking forward to setting the standard.”
